Outside Lands is upon us, a music festival that's been held in Golden Gate Park every August since 2008.
What makes Outside Lands so special is that it is one of the trickiest festivals to pack, plan and dress for. If you are a NorCal native, you might already know the ins and outs of dressing for Outside Lands. As a SoCal person, I had to learn the hard way. Have you ever been to Golden Gate Park at night? It's dark, scary, foggy and ABSOLUTELY freezing. Yes, even in August! I couldn't believe how cold it was in the MIDDLE OF SUMMER (or maybe I'm anemic?).
If you are going to Outside Lands, you must pack LAYERS or else suffer the consequences (they sell $50 blankets there for a reason...don't be one of those people who is forced to buy an over-priced Outside Lands blanket)!
(Buy one only if you REALLY want one - they are kind of nice).
Anyway, layers are a must. Also, do yourself a favor and wear some comfy jeans or pants because you might find yourself sitting on the cold, wet grass a lot (as discussed previously, they sell blankets for sitting, but you can bring your own blankets and towels for sitting too).
Below are 3 festival looks featuring some Just USA jeans. These jeans have just enough of a rise to help you fit in with the Bay Area hipsters. Plus you can boast to your friends that these jeans are made in the USA.
